Hello CK -

I am going to have my chief programmer, Sakin, look into that for you and report here. We are preparing a new version for release soon, and I will make sure that sort-by-date, and ascending/descending works for links. - Scott

I'm wondering if sort-by-date functions is supposed to work for links. I was hope to use it as a rolling "links of interest" widget - with some number of links from a special link category always being displayed, the oldest ones falling off the list as the new ones are applied. I noticed that choosing "ascending" and "descending" has no effect, and that when date/time is included from among the formatting options, each link is given the date/time of the most recent update. I still might find other uses for the widget down the line, I suppose, but this would have been a nice one!

Just installed maxref widget, but it won't display anything for pages or sub-pages (works for everything else), in fact the title won't save for those widgets wither, so that makes me suspect something is going wrong with the code that creates the widget.

Hi John -

Did you try first, increasing the number of Characters to display? Down toward the bottom of the widget there is a setting for "Max Length." I would try that. After that, you can try modifying the ".widget mref-widget" element using CSS. - Scott

Hi,
Nice plug in. I have gradually been integrating some of it's functions and have run into someting I want to do if possible.

With the 'Catagories' widget I would like to get the display to be wider so it shows more text. My columns are 185px wide and the display is not using anywhere near the available space.

Can you tell me where and what to modify in the code to get the display wider?

You can see it down the page a bit o the far right column - I will move it up and eliminate the other Catagories once i can get it adjusted.

Thanks
John

@Lia
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I'll speak to Scott about this and hopefully we will be able to provide it as a feature in the next version. Please check back for updates.

All the best,
